CRISIS MONITORING

Spot the complaint before it becomes the story.

Most social media crises start as a handful of negative posts that nobody on the team saw. Social Line tracks your brand and product names across Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, Reddit, Threads, and TikTok, scores each mention for sentiment as it lands, and ranks every open negative mention by the reach behind it, so the posts most likely to spread are the first ones you read.

HOW IT WORKS

The workflow, step by step.

01

Track the names people would use in a complaint

Add your brand, product names, common misspellings, and the name of anything launching soon. Tighten the schedule on the keywords that matter most, down to every 5 minutes, so a new complaint shows up close to when it's posted.

02

Negative mentions rise to the top

Every mention arrives scored positive, neutral, or negative. The Needs Attention queue collects the open negative ones and sorts them by reach at risk, so a complaint from an account with 200K followers sits above one with 200.

03

Work it as a team, then watch the score recover

Mark each mention follow up, done, or irrelevant as it's handled, so nobody replies twice. The reputation score shows whether sentiment recovers after your response.

WHAT'S INCLUDED

What makes this work.

Reach at risk, not just volume

Ten negative replies on a small account matter less than one on a large one. The Needs Attention queue ranks by estimated reach, which is usually the better early signal of what's about to spread.

Schedules down to every 5 minutes

Each keyword runs on its own schedule, from every 5 minutes to once a day. Keep your brand name on a tight schedule and slower-moving keywords on a daily one.

A reputation score you can watch move

Every mention rolls up into a 0–100 reputation score, banded Strong, Mixed, or At Risk, so a drop is visible at a glance instead of buried in a feed.

Ask your AI agent what changed

Through the MCP server, an agent like Claude can list recent mentions, summarize the negative ones, and set their triage status for you, working from the same data as the dashboard.

FAQ

Questions about crisis monitoring

What is social media crisis monitoring?

It's watching public social conversation for an early rise in negative mentions about a brand or product, so a team can respond before a complaint spreads. In practice it means tracking your brand names, scoring sentiment automatically, and ranking negative mentions by how many people they could reach.

Does Social Line send alerts when negative mentions spike?

Not yet. Alert rules are coming soon. Today, negative mentions land in the Needs Attention queue, ranked by reach at risk, and keywords can run as often as every 5 minutes.

Does it monitor news sites or review sites?

No. Social Line covers public posts on Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, Reddit, Threads, and TikTok. It doesn't track news, blogs, podcasts, or review sites, so pair it with a media monitoring tool if press coverage is part of your crisis plan.

Can the sentiment score be wrong?

Yes. Automated sentiment can misread sarcasm, slang, and mixed opinions, so treat it as a way to sort the feed rather than a final verdict, and read the high-reach mentions yourself.
