Cookie policy

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies Social Line uses and why. We keep this deliberately short, because we keep our cookie use deliberately minimal.

1. What cookies we use

Essential: session cookie. When you log in, we set a single cookie to keep you signed in and to let the app tell that a request comes from an authenticated session. This cookie is required for the dashboard to work and can't be turned off while remaining logged in; it's cleared automatically when you log out or after it expires.

Analytics: Microsoft Clarity. We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use Social Line - things like page engagement and where people click - so we can improve the product. Clarity sets a handful of its own cookies to recognize repeat visits and tie activity within a session together. We don't use advertising cookies, and we don't sell or share this data with advertisers.

Cookieless analytics: Ahrefs Web Analytics. We also use Ahrefs Web Analytics for aggregate traffic stats like page views and referrers. It's cookieless - it doesn't set any cookies or store anything that identifies you across sites.

2. Local storage

In addition to the session cookie, your browser's local storage is used to keep you logged in across tabs. This stays on your device and is cleared when you log out.

3. Managing cookies

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings, or you can opt out of Clarity directly via Microsoft's Clarity settings. Blocking the session cookie will sign you out of the dashboard; blocking Clarity's cookies doesn't affect anything - the public marketing pages and the dashboard both keep working normally. Ahrefs Web Analytics has no cookies to block since it doesn't set any.

4. Changes to this policy

If we add other non-essential cookies beyond what's listed above, we'll update this page and the "Last updated" date before we do.
