Privacy policy

Last updated September 6, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what data Social Line ("Social Line", "we", "us") collects when you use our website and dashboard (the "Service"), how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information we collect

Account information. Your name, email address, and a hashed password when you sign up. We never store your password in plain text.

Keyword and dashboard data. The keywords, keyword groups, platforms, and mention categories you configure, plus the triage status (done, follow up, irrelevant) you assign to mentions.

Billing information. If you subscribe to a paid plan, our payment processor, Stripe, collects and stores your payment details directly. We receive your subscription status and plan tier, but never see or store your full card number.

Usage data. Basic technical information such as log entries and error reports, used to keep the Service running and to debug issues.

Publicly available mentions. When you track a keyword, we retrieve matching public posts from supported platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, X, and Reddit) through their public APIs or feeds. This data is about the public post, not about you, and is stored so it can be shown in your dashboard.

2. How we use your information

  • To provide, maintain, and improve the Service
  • To authenticate you and keep your account secure
  • To process payments and manage subscriptions through Stripe
  • To communicate with you about your account, billing, or changes to the Service
  • To respond to support requests sent through our contact page

3. Cookies

We use a single essential cookie to keep you signed in. See our Cookie Policy for details.

4. Sharing your information

We don't sell your personal information. We share data only with the service providers that help us run Social Line, currently our hosting provider, our database provider, our social data retrieval provider, and Stripe for billing. Each is only given the data they need to perform their function. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Social Line or our users.

5. Data retention

We keep account and dashboard data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your account information and configuration data within a reasonable period, except where we're required to retain records (for example, billing records) for legal or accounting purposes.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, or to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@socialline.app and we'll respond within a reasonable timeframe.

7. Security

We use industry-standard measures, including password hashing, encrypted connections, and access controls scoped to your account, to protect your data. No system is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

8. Children's privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we'll remove it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you directly.
